Modern Chromatic

Let’s be honest: Modern home design exchanges color and personality for shades of greige and a sense of emptiness. This home's interior turns that trend on its head, bringing a different pop of color and emotion into every room.

After packing their bags and moving north from Texas, the owners left behind their recently remodeled home to begin a new chapter in Edina, Minnesota. Having tried the remodeling route, they were excited by the idea of building new and capturing everything they wanted without the constraints of an existing footprint.

Their vision landed on a blend of bold lines (inspired by midcentury modern design), pops of bright colors, and an abundance of natural light.

This home integrated simple comforts for every member of the family. Heated floors and a heated driveway eased the transition to Minnesota winters. A dedicated workout room and woodshop created places to improve and relax. Even the family’s furry friend was considered, with deepened windowsills for lounging and an automatic cat faucet.
